Parties and scope
These terms are between the person using the iWatchUWatch service (the Chrome extension, the sync server and the iwatchuwatch.com site) and the seller operating it. The seller's details appear at the top of this page.
By using the service you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, remove the extension and close your account.
What the service does
iWatchUWatch makes the same video, open on separate computers, play at the same second. One person opens a room and shares the code; the extension relays play, pause and seek commands between the two players.
The service does not provide video. The video is the one on the site you opened. The server never sees, carries, copies or stores it; it only relays small messages carrying position and state.
A room holds at most 5 people. A room is dropped from the server's memory when the last person leaves.
Your account
Joining a room requires an account: an e-mail address, a password and a username. If the account holder is under 18, a legal guardian's consent is required.
- You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity on your account.
- New members get a 7-day free trial. The trial is once per account and asks for no card.
- After the trial, access requires a subscription. There is no free usage tier.
- You can close your account at any time. Access ends immediately on request and the record is permanently deleted within 30 days; you can change your mind during that window.
An account is not meant to be shared between people. Connecting from two devices with the same account is not blocked, but a subscription covers one person.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Overload the server with automated tools or try to bypass rate limits.
- Impersonate another user's name, username or account.
- Use in-room chat for harassment, threats or unlawful content.
- Reverse engineer the service and resell a modified version.
- Try to bypass access controls (subscription, room code, friend approval).
Breaking these rules can lead to suspension or closure of the account. Serious breaches may be acted on without prior notice.
Content and third-party sites
You decide what video you watch and you are responsible for having the right to watch it. The terms of the site you are watching apply; iWatchUWatch is not affiliated with those sites and is not responsible for their content.
The extension is not a tool for getting around geographic restrictions or paywalls, and offers no such function.
Messages you write in room chat are not stored on the server. That does not mean they never arrive: the other side sees the message and may keep it on their own device.
Availability and changes
The service is provided "as is". No uptime commitment (SLA) is given: server maintenance, browser updates, or changes to the player on the site you are watching can temporarily break sync.
When the server restarts, open rooms are dropped and you need to reconnect. That is the direct consequence of keeping sync state in memory.
These terms can change. For a material change, notice is sent to your registered e-mail and the change takes effect no earlier than 30 days later. The price of an in-progress subscription period does not change.
Limits of liability
This is an entertainment tool. No liability is accepted for indirect damages arising from sync breaking, missing a scene, or the availability of the site you are watching.
For direct damages, liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the damage arose. This limit does not affect mandatory consumer-law provisions or liability for intent.
Termination
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you paid for; access runs until then. Unused days are not refunded automatically — refund terms are on the Refunds and withdrawal page.
If the seller decides to shut the service down entirely, at least 60 days' notice is given and any paid but unused period is refunded.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. In consumer transactions, Consumer Arbitration Committees or Consumer Courts have jurisdiction depending on the monetary threshold; the consumer's right to apply to the committee at their place of residence is reserved.
For sales made outside Türkiye, the consumer law of the country where the payment provider is the merchant of record may also apply.
